Raghez Canyon, the bride of the canyons of Iran, is a place where water and stone have created all kinds of beautiful architectural manifestations of nature in thousands of years. Each waterfall or pond is different and each has its own beauty. The large walls of Raghez sometimes come together along the way and evoke a cave, and sometimes they distance themselves from each other and create a beautiful area. The pleasant sound of the waterfall, beautiful descents and ascents, swimming among the clear pools and seeing the beautiful salmon are all among the fascinating and memorable moments of being in the beautiful Strait of Ragehz.
The water that flows in the Raghez Canyon originates from a spring in the heart of the mountains and flows to the southern valley, which returns to the ground, along a valley four kilometers long. Along the way, sixty beautiful natural ponds and lots of small and large waterfalls it does. The ponds of the Strait of Raghez are between 6 and 20 meters deep, up to 100 meters long, and have high walls, between which a small part of the sky can be seen.
Where is Raghez Canyon?
Tang-e Raghez Darab or Raghez canyon is located in Fasarood section, 30 km northwest of Darab city and near Raghez village and is one of the pristine nature tourism areas of Iran.
Access route to Tang-e Raghaz
To go to Raghez Canyon, you must first reach Darab city of Fars province, after traveling a distance, about 35 km of Darab-Shiraz road, you will reach Darakouyeh pass. The earthen road starts here. Using the available vehicles and passing through a Koh-Derakhti area on the left and a route of about two hours, the earthen road is completed and the continuation of the route begins on foot. From the right side of the road, when you start walking, you will reach Bidak spring.
The best time to travel to Raghez canyon
The best time to travel to Raghez is from late May to early October; However, it is possible to visit this canyon all year round and even during autumn and winter. Of course, more suitable equipment is needed in the cold seasons.

- Food for a full day
- Due to the cold water, be sure to wear appropriate clothing, ie wet-suit (diving clothing).
- Be sure to bring proper shoes with you
- You do not need a headlamp to cross the Raghez canyon, and there is enough light all the way through, only a flashlight is needed at night time.
